18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of his strength. (Ephesians 1:18-19 CSB)
Moving on today in Ephesians, Paul’s prayer for the church is continued, as is my prayer for you.
The hope we have in Christ salvation has gained us a glorious inheritance when we go home to our reward. This inheritance also puts us in a category as saints who not only have power in Christ but who have the ability to use this power for His plan on earth. We have been given a great commission to spread the Word in strength and power.
Thus, we have been given something of great value within and a wealth in knowledge to spend without in reaching others. We must not squander this immeasurable greatness, but understand its power in our lives and how it can work in others lives.
I have written these words, or ones like them many times. I hope they do not fall upon deaf ears, but they embolden those who read them to work toward fulfilling God’s plan in their lives, seeking His will first. But my words have little importance in the light of God given scripture. So my greatest desire is that you take this and make it your desire to read deeper and know more.
For where there is the application of knowledge there is growth in wisdom and a mighty working of His strength.
