6 And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our[a] hearts, crying, “Abba,[b] Father!” (Galatians 4:6 CSB)
Whether you realize it or not, the Spirit is continually crying “Abba, Father” for each of us daily. In fact He does so continually at times when we need it most.
When we come to a believing faith we need to remember that the Spirit is sent to live within us. I do not know how this happens, it is a mystery reserved for when we get to heaven. But I do believe He is here with me now. I believe that He intercedes for me and that when I am not at my best, the Spirit is helping guide me through whatever I am going through.
Because we are sons and daughters of God now we have a direct line through the Spirit. The Spirit is our advisor and comfort in every facet of life. With the Spirit of the Son living within we continually have this direct connection to God. And with this connection we are never alone.
Many people go through this life feeling alone and this can be a very depressing state to be sure. But God, in the Spirit, is always there to reach out to. To feel comfort from and to know that we are never truly alone.
