All Your Ways

Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I stand up;
you understand my thoughts from far away.
You observe my travels and my rest;
you are aware of all my ways. (Psalm 139:1-3 CSB)

How well do you know yourself?

Well, know this, God knows all you ways.

This is a glorious statement for some and a fearful one for others.

It is glorious to those who invite God in and hold nothing back. It is fearful for those who hold back and want to keep some parts of their lives to themselves. But nothing is secret to God. Every portion of our lives is laid bare before Him.

But know this too. If it is laid bare, it is so for Him to be closely intimate with us. Remember, when we come to Christ saving grace all sins are forgiven. No matter what we have done or will do will be excluded. Christ paid the price once and for all. Thus, we have no reason to hold any part of our selves back.

If we let Him in of our own accord to every part, He will help us mend every part. Then when we give an accounting for our actions we can rest assured that God has been there for everything.
