6 For every activity there is a right time and procedure, even though a person’s troubles are heavy on him. 7 Yet no one knows what will happen because who can tell him what will happen? Ecclesiastes 8:6-7 CSB)
There is a right time for everything, but who can know it? Oh, we can get some idea from what is happening around us, but for the most part we are at the whim of many outside factors every day.
Now I am a planner and believe that anything we want to get done needs to have a definitive timeline of activities. And most important element to all of this in my mind is an estimated completion date. Without some set of guard rails, anything we do tends to wind down the road this way and that.
But only God really knows the right time for anything to happen. We can do our planning, set our dates, but God directs our path and the path of others. God will make the plans for our lives come to fruition in His good timing.
I have friends right now who are waiting for health outcomes or job outcomes. To them I say, try your best to be patient. Wait upon the Lord and pray fervently that He may work His good will to the right time for you. And know too that I am praying for you.
