Near You

On the contrary, what does it say? The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.[a] This is the message of faith that we proclaim:  (Romans 10:8 CSB)

Is the message near you?

It should be constantly as near as what we are professing with our mouth and what we believe in our hearts.

Our faith is an active, not a passive. However, many seem to believe it is the latter. They want to be fed, but they do not want to feed others. They are content to sit and soak in the Word, but it is not applied to their lives.

Are you feeling convicted? That is less my words than the Spirits prompting.

A knowledge gained for only our benefit is no knowledge at all. Without being put into practice, knowledge is hollow. It is words rattling around in our heads if they do not create action in our lives.

Yes, the wisdom of the Bible and Christ salvation is for the individual. But with them both comes the commission to tell others. It is as if many, upon obtaining salvation, retire. But it should create a burning desire to do more. It should, in short, produce fruit. First in our own lives then in how we convey that change to others.

Our faith is near as a professing mouth and a believing heart.
