Preach It

14 How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? (Romans 10:14 CSB)

The Great Commission set us on the path to reach all nations and every corner of the globe. This may be a calling to go abroad, or it can be a calling to your family. But make no mistake, there is a calling.

Many Christians want to sit in pews at their local church and soak in the message, go have lunch and go about their week. It is not that they do not hear and strive to take to heart a Christ like life. They just exclude taking on the part of His life where He told others about the path to salvation.

Our scripture today ends with ”and how can they hear without a preacher?” This is where people get nervous. They immediately say, ”I am no preacher.” Nor am I. Yes I have spent time in a pulpit, but it is not where I am either comfortable or at my best. Like Moses, I am a man of simple speech.

But while I may not be comfortable there, it is where I go when called upon to do so. Furthermore, my true platform to tell others about Christ is here, in the written word. But also, I strive to let my life show the way and I speak about my faith and ministry walk often.

How can others believe without hearing about Christ and how can they hear if we are not preachers in our every action?
