50/50

32 Now the entire group of those who believed were of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but instead they held everything in common. (Acts 4:32 CSB)

Can you imagine what the world would be like if we practiced this simple scripture today? I dare say that poverty would be virtually eliminated. As well, crime would diminish greatly as would many of the other things that separate us as a society.

No, we hover far closer to dystopia than utopia.

It would seem that we as the human race is and always will be about the haves and the have nots. We can call it fighting for survival but in truth many of us live in a state of opulence while many others scrape by.

We are grasping, greedy animals who generally care only ourselves.

You may feel I am being overly harsh, but I am probably being overly generous with my description.

This is not to say that the world is bereft of any kindness or altruism. There are examples if we look closely enough. What I am speaking of is on a more general scale. It is an 80/20 scale like much in this life. All of the world operates on this rule in just about every aspect. If we could simply move more toward a 50/50 think how the world would be improved.
