21 But anyone who lives by[a] the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be shown to be accomplished by God.” (John 3:21 CSB)
When something is discovered that has been previously hidden we say that it ”came to light”. What was once obscured has been revealed.
The same should be true of our works. What should come to light about them is that God is behind what we do. Even if it is something mundane, there should be evidence of He who works through us in it.
I have written about this many times and some may struggle with just how one reflects God in everything. Well, to do so begins with our desire and willingness to give every glory to God. To be open to saying, “it was not I who did this, but Christ within me.” Better yet, living a life that reflects a desire for every act to point back to God.
This does not have to be obtuse or grandiouse. It can be as simple as those around us knowing without doubt where our motivation comes from. When they do, and it is from God and not greed, then every act takes on a certian reflection; it comes to light.
Seek to reflect Christ and Christ will be reflected in all we do.
