²⁵ because God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength. (1 Corinthians 1:25 CSB)

I get that some who read these devotionals as my foolish attempt to convert people or to provide scriptural wisdom.

I am ok with that.

First and foremost, what I write here is not about me. Never has been. It is about the wisdom, grace and mercy God imparts to us through the scripture, and ultimately about Christ salvation.

But if someone gets a chuckle at my expense and sees me as foolish, then so much the better. I have brought laughter into this world. Francis of Assisi called himself a ”fool for God.” What great company.

Others have called religion a crutch. Thus, if in my weakness I must use religion as my crutch so be it. Because I know that God’s weakness is so much greater than my greatest strength.

Stop all this foolishness, you say.
