How frustrating, but how true we find this simple scripture.

We are presented each moment of each day a choice to do good or ill. I would venture the majority wish to do good. In this lies the hope of humanity.

But too we see the enemy at work in and through events that happen around the globe daily.

Thus, this simple law is true. People want to do good, but evil is present within us.

Now, before we move on in acceptance of this self-evident law, we must ask ourselves another question. What am I doing about it?

We must not look at the law of nature in a fallen world and be complacent. No. We must battle this human instinct with every fiber in our bodies. Otherwise, we are not only sin’s slave but its arbiter. This cannot be. We must turn this authority over to the Spirit that lives within.

Thus, our law becomes, ”When I want to do what is good, the Spirit is present within me.”
