4 One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD And to meditate in His temple. (Psalm 27:4)
Life holds many experiences. Each day we make transactions with the world around us. We can choose to see each as the mundane activities of a life lived or we can seek God in every moment, every interaction.
When we seek God in this way it is amazing how He regularly shows up.
In fact, I would hazard that when we seek Him in this way, He shows up every time.
We have trouble seeing God as omnipotent. I like to think of life as it all being lived out “in and through” Christ. God made everything, thus, He must be in all things. Christ is in me through the Spirit, thus, He is in all things that I do. The three as one, in all and through all.
When we look at life in this way we are constantly seeking the Lord, we are dwelling in His house all the days of our lives. When everyone and everything has some element of the God we seek, we see God in all things.
In this way we too can find it easier to pray continually as God becomes part of every activity in our lives. Sin is easier to avoid because we view everything through a Spirit filled lens.
Live lived in and through.
