33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NIV)

Too often we see the word Overcome and immediately go to the negative connotation about being overcome.

However, God has a different view of the word. Christ overcame the world when he died and was resurrected.

Thus, we can take heart that if he has overcome the world, he can overcome our small problems and issues.
