15 For to God we are the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. (2 Corinthians 2:15 CSB)
So, you have probably never considered your walk as being either fragrant in a good way or a bad way.
When we hear the term, fragrant, we more than often think of something good. Much like aroma. Similarly, odor or smell while being neutral have a negative connotation. The reality is all of these words, in and of themselves, are really neutral. It is how we use them that changes the meaning.
Similarly we do not tend to think of the fragrance of our spirit to those around us. It really is just a way of denoting how we are viewed by others from a Christian sense. However, it is very apt. Consider if your spiritual fragrance to those around you is aromatic or smelly.
Maybe it is time to wash up a bit and improve our fragrance.
