Watchful

He humbled you by letting you go hungry; then he gave you manna to eat, which you and your ancestors had not known, so that you might learn that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. (Deuteronomy 8:3 CSB)

There is much that God does in our lives if we are but watchful for his hand upon us.

But how can we know this? How can we be watchful for God’s interaction in our lives?

First and foremost, we must be feeding upon scripture each and every day. How can we hope to see His hand in our lives if we do not well understand how He works? How can we know how he works if we do not read His word?

When we are watchful we not only see God’s big movements in our lives but His small ones as well. We see His works in others and in the world around us. We too become much more attuned to living the way He wants and the works of the enemy against us.

Watchfulness helps us realize that God is truly all around us.
