3 the Lord appeared to him[a] from far away.
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you. (Jeremiah 31:3 CSB)
Consider meeting Christ. If we believe we have felt His love here on earth, we cannot come close to imaging how much greater we will feel it when we get to heaven.
We lost a family member recently, and I know many others have as well. Be they family members, good friends or acquaintances, death close to us gives us all pause to reflect. We may reflect upon their lives, our closeness with them, the impact they had on our lives. But most of all we remember the love we shared.
We remember them both near and from far away because love spans any gap.
So much more so the love of God for each of us. There is no gap to wide, nothing you have done that can separate you from the all encompassing love of Christ. It truly is an everlasting love.
So when we suffer loss, we should remember the love and know that the love we have from God is all surpassing.
