9 In addition to the Teacher being a wise man, he constantly taught the people knowledge; he weighed, explored, and arranged many proverbs. 10 The Teacher sought to find delightful sayings and write words of truth accurately. (Ecclesiastes 12:9-10 CSB)
When we encounter great teachers in life they typically have one thing in common. They are great learners.
Great teachers spend much time in researching and learning about a topic before they feel prepared to teach.
We too should seek to be great learners throughout life.
Yes, there is much that we must learn and keep up with regarding our jobs. But there is so much more to life that comes from many other sources.
I find the scripture a great teacher and refer to it often. But experience too is a great teacher, but it requires that I get out and get out of my comfort zone if I expect to gain anything truly new from the experience.
We all have a role to play as teacher. From parent to potential leadership roles in work or other aspects of life. The world needs good leaders and good teachers. They are invaluable.
