Ever Upward

31 So don’t worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God[a] and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. (Matthew 6:31-33 CSB)

We are being taught about valuing what we have it seems.

Texas got dropped into the deep freeze this week in a way that I have not experienced. No power, no heat and a lot of uncertainty.

However, while we all work through this circumstance it should give us pause to consider what we are grateful for.

Mainly because we do worry about what we will eat, drink or wear (as I sit here in many, many layers trying to stay warm).

God wants us to take moments like this and look fully to Him. Yes, we have to be resilient and do what we can to stay in front of it. But we must make sure that we know that God must come first.

So as we go through this, we must keep our focus ever upward.
