Accepting It All

Satan answered the Lord, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Haven’t you placed a hedge around him, his household, and everything he owns? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But stretch out your hand and strike everything he owns, and he will surely curse you to your face.” (Job 1:9-11 CSB)

When we go through times when things are basically going well we can become somewhat callous to our blessings.

Our expectations are that things will simply remain.

Things rarely simply remain.

Thus, when the unthinkable happens our response is often “why me”?

But I would ask, “why not me?”

We are not in a position to question God in relation to good and bad things happen in our lives. Our lives are in God’s hands and no matter what might befall us, we must not take our eyes off Him.

I know how very difficult this can be as I too have often found myself expecting more with no true reason to do so.

We must count our blessings in both good and bad times and accept the will of God in every aspect of our lives.
