14 They will still bear fruit in old age,
healthy and green, (Psalm 92:14 CSB)
I was told by some one that I do not “present” my age. Meaning that I act and represent someone younger. That is probably because fight against the things that would show my age. I continue to do things to keep me young. Only how I look betrays that to some extent.
In contrast, how we “present” for Christ, should represent our age. It should show maturity and discernment. It should clearly represent through the fruit we bear our ever growing and deepening relationship with Christ.
This, of course, depends upon how long we have been in Christ. There are some who do not come to the faith until later in life. However, these people still bring a lot of life experience with them into the faith. They have an opportunity to grow, potentially, more quickly and produce a great amount of fruit.
Regardless, as we age and mature in our faith, the fruit we produce should not diminish but should grow with ever more abundance. Showing that we are still healthy and green and ready to produce more.
