Anger

26 …Don’t let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and don’t give the devil an opportunity. (Ephesians 4:26b-27 CSB)

Anger gets us all at one time or another.

However, my household holds to this scripture and does not allow the sun to go down on our anger, especially toward one another.

Anger is a festering wound that, instead of leaving alone, we pick at until it becomes fully infected. Then it begins to infect our heart, our mind and our actions.

Anger begets anger as well. As it grows in us we begin to infect others. Have you ever noticed how one person being angry seems to effect the entire room.

That is because anger is one of the enemy’s favorite tools, along with distraction, to keep us fulfilling his plans.

Yes, there is righteous anger, but this is a very slippery slope. Because we failable humans are the ones doing the justification for our righteous anger.

Anger is better left to God who will administer it fairly and justly.
