Fallow Ground

12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy, break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, till He come and rain righteousness upon you. (Hosea 10:21 KJV21)

Now is the perfect time to set in motion what is needed to break up your fallow ground. The short time between Christmas and New Year’s Day provides most people a slow down in business and is perfect for reflection.

But what does this scripture mean? This is unplowed ground, or ground that has been left untended for a time. The scripture is pointing to a need for us to break up our fallow ground and seek the Lord so that we may be fruitful.

The entire idea with this scripture is to allow for new growth in our lives. To prepare the ground of our soul so that we may be more productive. And what time could be better than just befor the new year.

Now is the time to plow your fallow ground and look forward to a productive new year. Sow righteousness and reap mercy, till the Lord comes and rains righteousness upon us.
