28 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
and he brought them out of their distress.
29 He stilled the storm to a whisper,
and the waves of the sea were hushed.
30 They rejoiced when the waves grew quiet.
Then he guided them to the harbor they longed for. (Psalm 107:28-30 CSB)

Today’s scripture has three key elements that pertain to any situation you might be going through right now. Whether in life or in our business dealings, each of these has bearing on our situation.

Cry out to the Lord in your trouble – Too often we sit and simmer in our situation without reaching out. This reaching out needs to be to the Lord first, but to our friends and other acquaintances as well. The key take away is – You are not alone!

He stilled the storm to a whisper – The Lord has the power to completely still the storm in your life. It may take a while but over time the tumult around us will begin to subside and soon it will be but a whisper. The key take away is – God is completely in control.

He guided them to the harbor they longed for – We may not even realize that the harbor God chose was the one we were longing for. The key take away – God will bring us to a place of peace after He has calmed the storm
