12 Don’t let anyone despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love,[a] in faith, and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12 CSB)

We want to think that age matters when it comes to faith. However, I have seen young people with great faith and I have known older people with no faith. Faith is not a matter of age.

Granted, faith should grow with age, but just like with exercise for the body, faith grows through study and prayer.

As we build our faith into our speech and conduct it is displayed in our love and purity as scripture notes.

If these are not growing then we need to question what we are doing to expand and grow our faith. Thus, as we grow and age, so to our faith grows and begins to permeate our being more and more.
