Fruit Production

5 I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me. (John 15:5 CSB)

How is your fruit production?

Is your tree full, are you going to market reguarly because the branches are heavily laden?

A well fed tree will produce much fruit. But it’s roots much stay close to the source. The branches are filled from how well it is fed. So too is our faith fed based upon how close we stay to the source.

I write these post to bear fruit in others lives. However, as I have said, many of these words are for me too. I have to do so daily to make sure that I stay close to the source. Because, much like you, life and the world do their best to drag me away from the source.

Least we not forget, the fruit we bear is just as often for our own, or our family’s, consumption as it is for others. Bearing fruit can simply mean showing up for your life and the lives of those nearest you. Yes, we want to reach others for Christ, but we must first have our house in order.

God wants first a deeply personal relationship with us. He will produce the fruit from that beginning.
