Can you imagine a world where, if only the Christians did this, how much better it would be!

But we are weak, petty creatures, who prefer our own vainglory and are driven to our own success above all others.

This may seem a harsh indictment, but it is one well earned. There is so little that sets us apart from others today because, more than anything, we think of self first.

And I do not take myself out of this category, not in any way. I struggle with fears about life that if I were driven solely by this one scripture my fears would not exist. So please do not think for one moment that I write this from a place of superiority.

I do strive to keep this simple scripture before me, but I have to do so moment to moment.

But sometimes, a simple scripture is all we need.
