18 give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18 CSB)
It is never easy to give thanks before we know the outcome of a situation. But that is exactly what we are supposed to do.
The next few days may be a very unsure time. And no matter what the final outcome you were hoping for, we need to take this time to come together and be thankful regardless.
We have experienced too much unrest as a country and need to come into a time of healing. No matter which way this goes.
I know this may seem impossible due to the strong opinions on both sides. But we need to overcome the greater enemy in all of this. Not allowing his schemes and divisional tactics to win the day.
Yes, I have an opinion in all of this. But my love for my country and my desire for all of you outweighs my opinion. I only want what is right for us and the choice God makes.
Thus, before we know an actual outcome I will be focused upon giving thanks. And accepting that God is in control no matter what.
