9 And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment, 10 so that you may approve the things that are superior and may be pure and blameless in the day of Christ, (Philippians 1:9-10 CSB)
Take a moment and consider how you are growing spiritually.
We will wait for you……..
When you consider this can you take it and match that growth to scripture. Are you growing in knowledge and discernment. Are you able to approve the things that are superior, pure and blameless? Are these the things that are a marker of your spiritual growth?
These are not all the byproducts of spiritual growth. You may have another list, but are you checking that list against scripture? Regardless of how we are growing there should be a scriptural element that we can easily point back to.
The reason I belabor this point is spiritual growth starts in the Word. Who we are in Christ expands from there as it is our primary guide book and text book to how we are to grow. Thus, all things in our spiritual life should come back to scripture.
Match your growth with the Word and test that it is what God wants from your walk.
