3 Now the serpent was the most cunning of all the wild animals that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You can’t eat from any tree in the garden’?” (Genesis 3:! CSB)
Yesterday we talked about faith and belief, today about lies and deception.
Where listening to the Spirit in our lives will lead us to a lighted path, listening to the enemy will lead us to a darkened path.
The world is full of lies and deceptions that are meant to lead us astray. The world is the enemy’s playground and he wants nothing more than to see us go against God’s plan for our lives.
Many of his ways lie in subtle deceptions that are whispered in our ears. Especially those about us. Those that tell us we are not good enough or God does not really care about us.
His other great deception is distraction. The enemy keeps us distracted from that which is right and keeps us focused on the less valuable aspects of life. In fact distraction in today’s world is his greatest ploy.
This distraction keeps us not only from God but keeps us pitted against one another.
Look clearly at life today and, I pray, you can clearly see the enemy’s lies and deceptions.
