31 Let all bitterness, anger and wrath, shouting and slander be removed from you, along with all malice. 32 And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you[a] in Christ. (Ephesians 5:31-32 CSB)

Reread today’s scripture. Can you imagine what might be possible if all of the leaders in our government would simply adhere to these two lines of scripture?

What a different country we would live in.

Of course if we could even get everyone in the church to abide by this, how much would that change the face of the church.

Living in a fallen world these things might not be possible, but with God all things are possible. And with us we can exhibit control over ourselves and our attitudes. If each of us would strive to embody these scriptures daily we could improve the world in small increments every day.

And yes, that counts!
