35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. (Luke 6:35-36 NIV)

We have been given great mercy from God through Christ. But do we exend the our fair share of mercy?

Trying to love and be merciful to those who have hurt us is not easy. Remembering that they too are fallen people living in a fallen world might help, but when we are raw from the pain showing mercy is difficult.

But when we do, we extend just a bit of the love that God has shown us and in doing so are better for it.
