4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and bless his name.
5 For the Lord is good, and his faithful love endures forever;
his faithfulness, through all generations. (Psalm 100:4-5 CSB)
I find very few who really practice gratefulness. Maybe they do in their own way and it is not visible. Because mostly what I encounter is people in want, people with needs.
I too spend too much time in want and not enough time in thanks. If we do the truly hard work of looking at ourselves in light of the world and not simply our next door neighbor we see how thankful we should be.
However, we take too short of a view and do not recognize just how incredibly fortunate we really are by global comparison.
So today take stock and give thanks for all that God has truly granted you.
