14 Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit. 15 But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into him who is the head—Christ. (Ephesians 4:14-15 CSB)

There is a point where each of us has to grow up and make up our own minds about things. Where we have to put away childish things, grow up, and take our rightful place in this world.

No longer are we to be blown around by every new idea, or offended by every comment made by another. No, we have to listen to the Spirit and speak truth in love to others.

Otherwise, we run the risk of succumbing to every frivolous thing that comes our way. We have the mentality of a child and we do not mature into adulthood. We become “Adult-lecents” growing into adults but never maturing.

Once we begin to understand the Spirit’s teaching and know the mind of Christ we can grow into what God always intended us to be.
