How Far?

8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 CSB)

How far are you prepared to go?

Where are you prepared to go?

For most of us the answer is, “well not that far, and somewhere comfortable.”, but that is not what is asked of us.

What we find it is until we have gone far and become uncomfortable that the Spirit truly has the room to work. And please do not misunderstand, far may not be measured in miles and prepared is rarely a measured of our capability!

The true measurement here is on the scale of willingness.

Yes, some travel far mileage wise, but some travel far simply from the life they have known.

Yes, some prepare mightly and for many years in seminary to answer their calling, but some simply read the Word and follow the Spirit.

When we measure how far by our willingness and the Spirits guidance the ends of the earth can seem quite close.
