7 For we brought nothing into the world, and[a] we can take nothing out. (1 Timothy 6:7 CSB)
This period has shown us a lot about our lives. Probably the most meaningful, if you have been watchful, is that we really need far less to live on than expected.
The world has been consumed with consumerism (pun intended). We have been sold this lie that we need more and more and more.
However, what I have witnessed in my life and in others is we need less and less and less. I have watched families go on walks together, people spend more quality time talking when they came into contact (even at 6 feet apart).
What this period should have shown us is that we need each other and God more than anything we could buy.
We brought nothing into this world and we can take nothing from it. Yet, the impact on others will last beyond us.
