But What About…

21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?”

22 “If I want him to remain until I come,” Jesus answered, “what is that to you? As for you, follow me.” (John 21:21-22 CSB)

It is really easy when we see others around us dong well, succeeding or simply living what we perceive is a better life to become jealous or disheartened.

This can be especially true when those who are succeeding seem to live a life absent of God. While we are trying to live Godly lives and struggling.

But God does not guarantee an easy life for Christians. He promises to be with us through it all, but life may still be hard.

It is times like this when I harken back to this scripture where things like this even bothered Peter. God will walk with each of us through our journey, no matter what that journey entails.
