Hope & Encouragement

4 For whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that we may have hope through endurance and through the encouragement from the Scriptures. (Romans 15:4 CSB)

Scripture is meant to give us hope and encouragement. This is why so much has been written about scripture without changing scripture. Nothing needs to be added to nor taken away. Our commentary is only supporting what is already contained within.

It is easy to get discouraged in the world today. We find ourselves with many complications and almost constant conflict. But scripture gives a prescription for living a different way. Living with hope and encouragement that we can count upon ourselves and provide to others.

This, of course, requires daily reading to mine the many gems contained within.
