So why do we need prayer when God knows what I need before I say a word?

Well, actually quite a lot. Not just for us but for God too as he desires a personal relationship with all of us. How can we have a friend and never talk to him!?

No matter whether He knows beforehand what we will say, He desires our conversation. He cherishes our connection.

And how much more do we get out of those conversations? Any time of the day or night God is there awaiting us to turn toward Him so that He might be there for us to comfort or celebrate with us.

Yes, before my mouth opens, Lord, you know all about it.
