Conclusion of the Matter

13 When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: fear God and keep his commands, because this is for all[a] humanity. (Ecclesiastes 12:13 CSB)

The conclusion of the matter.

Seems pretty definite, does it not? The end of it is to “fear God and keep his commands”, and this was for ALL humanity. Not just a select few.

Fear God; so why in our knowledge of the love of God through Christ should we fear God? Well, because if there is not a healthy fear of eternity then we, in our fallen sinful state, will do as we see fit. We will not follow step two;

Keep His commands; The Ten Commandments are something that people like to debate. When they are posted anywhere they become a point of debate, anger and fear. Why? Because at their base there is a moral compass contained within people do not want to follow. Thus, they find ways to fight against them.

But, as stated, these two things are the conclusion of the matter.
