11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Hebrews 6:11-12)
Its the end of the week and I know I feel sluggish. The week has been hectic and there have been many commitments and now we just want to rest.
There does need to be a time for rest, but are we putting it before that which we are being called to do.
I get feeling sluggish. We never quite dig out of our weekly commitments, email or the needs of our work and family. Its depleating and sluggish is a nice way to say – completely worn out!
It feels hard to mount up as on the wings of eagles we we feel like sliding along like a slug.
But when Christ call is that we take some time to be on His mission, we cannot let the fatigue we feel make us sluggish toward His call. In this way we imitate our Lord and through faith we take hold of His promises.
