18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. (Matthew 16:18 CSB)

It can seem like the world always has the upper hand and that the church is continuing to decline. However, as scripture tells us that God’s House is built upon a solid foundation (the rock) and the gates of hell will not stand against it.

Our voice as Christians is easily overpowered in our desire to bring all peoples to Christ. But make no mistake, within the whisper there is power. And while the church may not have a strong voice any longer, our God is but a wisper speaks great power.

We, as Christians, must continue to stand against the buffeting of the world and be a light within the darkness.

The attacks will continue until Christ comes back in glory. For this we can be sure. But we do not have to be sheep among the wolves, but take the sheepdog’s role and stand strong, on the rock.
