12 Teach us to number our days carefully
so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts. (Psalm 90:12 CSB)

Life speeds along and often we do not count the days much less the hours. They tend to just pass without us so much as blinking and then we look up one day and; the kids are grown, our parents are gone, our hair is gray, our bones ache.

We realize that, in many cases, we have missed the best parts of life in our mindless rushing through it.

Thus, scripture provides us a lesson about numbering our days carefully, gaining wisdom and opening our eyes to all that is happening around us.

I have spoken to so many who feel like they have lost control of their lives in the busyness of all they have going on. And this is the enemy’s plan to keep us distracted from the good in our lives.
