5 For I may be absent in body, but I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see how well ordered you are and the strength of your faith in Christ.
6 So then, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, 7 being rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude. (Colossians 2:5-7 CSB)
As you have received, continue to live, rooted, built up, established and overflowing with gratitude.
When we receive the Spirit into our lives there is a myriad of things that begin and go with us throughout life. The faith life is called a walk because it is something that we do not accomplish but something that is built within us day in and day out.
This scripture defines the things that “in and through Christ” we can look to as elements of our growth and our faith life.
Doing so begins to permeate every aspect of our lives and directs our every thought and deed, guiding us from day to day.
