The Power to Choose

16 You did not choose me, but I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you. (John 15:16 CSB)

We have been chosen. Out of the entire world we have been chosen.

In this choosing we were also prepared for a purpose and given the talents and power to work in the Father’s name.

God does not wish for anyone to not be part of this select. Yet, some will choose not to heed the call and offer.

But then again, the beauty of our relationship with the Father is that he gives us free will. Thus, we have the power to choose too. No one is forced to come to the Father. He stands at the door and knocks but it is within our power to not open the door.

But what riches await us in life if we would but open it and invite Jesus in. At least look at the way He offers.

But we have the power to choose.
