9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. (2 Corinthians5:9-10)
We all have ambitions in our own right. Each has been given the talents and have learned how to hone those talents into a job path or career. Those ambitions may be small and simple or grandious, seeking to be the top dog.
There is nothing wrong with being ambitious. This is what drives us to be better.
The question is whether that ambition also has a component in line with what God wants of us. Is our ambition in line with His plan?
Ultimately, we will be judged for what we did on earth. If we believe and strive for Christ we will stand and be recompensed for our deeds.
