13 Reaching out his hand, Jesus touched him, saying, “I am willing; be made clean,” and immediately the leprosy left him. (Luke 5:13 CSB)

Sometimes all we need is just a touch. For someone to reach out to make life brighter.

In this scripture, Jesus touches a man and heals his leprosy. In a time when lepers were sent away and made to live apart this was unheard of. No one touched lepers! No one befrended prostitutes. No one went to eat in the house of tax collectors.

But Jesus knew that all of these people needed just a touch, just a word, just… love.

We can make others days brighter with just a touch too. Just a kind word, a thank you, a recognition of their worth.
