10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5:10)

Recompense – Pay Back

XC Definition – Something we want to give but not receive.

Yet each of us will one day have to give an accounting for our deeds.

The beauty of the faith is that once we receive Christ, we receive His salvation and our bad deeds will be washed away. Thus, the judgement throne becomes a recounting of our good deeds, and possibly a recounting of those missed opportunities.

It is these missed opportunities that haunt me. The possibility I could have served angles and did not take the chance. The possibility that I could have served my fellow man and I did not take the time.
