It is amazing how a reassuring touch can have such an impact. When a friend comes along side us and puts a hand on our shoulder or give us a hug. Just that small contact can have such a profound effect.

We have become more and more isolated behind our glass screens. We have traded the the warmth of personal for the cold blue light of our electronic worlds.

But in th is simple passage, Christ once again shows us how profound a simple touch can be.
