25 Since I am persuaded of this, I know that I will remain and continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, (Philippians 1:25 CSB)
We are, sometimes, put in places and situations not for ourselves but for the benefit of others.
This can be most uncomfortable. To be somewhere or to be experiencing something that we would rather not experience. However, it works to God’s plan to remain and to be His light and possibly guide to others.
Paul at this point in scripture was inprisoned for his faith. And while he hoped to go home to be with God (his life was often threatened for what he was preaching), he was prepared to stay and fulfill God’s plan for his life.
Even when the situation is not of our liking we may be doing great things for God.
