19 Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, the Son is not able to do anything on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father[a] does, the Son likewise does these things. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing, and he will show him greater works than these so that you will be amazed. (John 5:19-20 CSB)

I had a great father. I know everybody doesn’t. However, we typically pick someone in life to emulate. Someone we know who we look up to and strive to live our lives like. Someone we learn from.

Without this, people tend to go up aimless and hard. The value in finding someone who loves us and will show us what to do is invaluable in this life.

The Father wants each of us to come to Him, to be open to His great love for us. He wants us to emulate what he told us in scripture and teaches us through the Spirit and those Godly influences in our lives.

We truly can do little on our own.
