Broken Walls

28 A person who does not control his temper
is like a city whose wall is broken down. (Proverbs 25:28 CSB)

This scripture speaker to the true nature of letting our temper get the better of us. When we do our defenses go down, not up, and we lose control of the measured way we should approach life.

There are a thousand little things throughout our day that conspire to make us lose our temper. We see it continually on our roadways with so much road rage. Riding a motorcycle this is never more evident. People out for only themselves.

But we have a choice in our response. A snake has only one response to being made angry, which is typically only fear being manifest. It will strike out. We have the ability to keep our wall strong against the many things that conspire to tear us down.  We do not have to strike out in fear and anger.
